Movement Lab Ohio's Lab Rats Competition Team
About:
Our competition teams are designed for those individuals who want to compete at the highest level in the sport of ninja warrior. No experience is necessary, but tryouts are required to determine eligibility. Practices focus on improving individual weaknesses, and includes course runs, conditioning, obstacle technique, and mental training for competitions.
How to join:
We hold tryouts occasionally each year. Tryouts are typically scheduled at the beginning of each season, with occasional supplemental tryouts mid-season around December. We do not disclose what tryouts specifically consist of in order to keep things fair for everyone, but all tryouts will test pull-ups, deadhangs, agility, and obstacle skill.
Season:
This season will run from September through June to coincide with the World Ninja League season. Teams will begin the season by practicing 2x per week in the fall and 2x per week in the winter and spring to prep for the World Finals.
Competitions:
Our team travels to competitions mainly throughout the mid-west, but can travel farther if competitions are available. While there are several ninja leagues in place, we focus on the World Ninja League (WNL). We send a coach to a minimum of 1 comp per month, but often have a coach present at many more. Members of our teams are more than welcome to participate in other leagues in addition to the WNL comps we go to.

FAQ:
What should I wear for ninja?
- You can purchase a team jersey, and any athletic shorts or leggings are perfect for ninja. Athletic shoes with a grippy rubber bottom are best. Foam-bottomed shoes will easily slip on obstacles and should not be used for competitions.
- Lab Rats memberships are separate from our normal memberships. This season team will be a flat rate which can be paid up front or broken into equal monthly payments linked to a valid CC.
